Skin Needling is a minimally invasive technique which
softens fine lines, wrinkles, reduces pore size and improves overall skin texture.
A small device is used over the skin which has oscillating micro-needles that gently pierces the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.
This regenerative procedure stimulates the body’s natural wound healing response without scarring.
This treatment produces fantastic results and has minimal downtime.

Skin Needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is an extremely effective procedure that reduces acne scarring, fine lines, pigmentation, enlarged pores, blackheads, and scarring to deliver overall skin rejuvenation.
This procedure involves a small micro-needling device which creates very small puncture channels into the dermal skin, between 0.5 - 2mm deep. This activates a wound healing response in the skin, which is what stimulates new collagen and elastin production. This response creates visible improvements to the skin by plumping out fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores and acne scarring. The discomfort level for this procedure is mild to moderate.
Skin needling is suitable for all skin types. However, there are some conditions that prevent skin needling treatments These include;
- Active, inflamed acne
- Cold Sores
- Skin Cancer
- New scars (best to wait 6 months is a safe time period to wait)
- Pregnancy
- Shingles, chicken pox
- Dermal fillers, 2 weeks prior or afterwards is OK
- Botox, 2 months afterwards is OK.
- sunburn
- The use of blood thinning medication or Roaccutane
- Use of Steroid creams or Vitamin A/Retinol (cease use of creams 1 -2 weeks prior to treatment)
Skin Needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction we recommend to start with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. For scar reduction an average of 3 to 6 treatments are recommended. Skin Needling can be performed in conjunction with other treatments such as LED Light Therapy and Microdermabrasion. LED Light is a great add on treatment immediately after your skin needling treatment as it will soothe redness and inflammation.
Directly after your skin needling treatment, your skin may be red and feel like it is sunburnt. The redness from the treatment will mostly fade within 24 - 48 hours however under the surface of the skin the healing will take longer. You may experience other symptoms, such as peeling, dryness and breakouts, however this will depend on your skin type.
It is a good idea to avoid make up for 24 -48 hours and to also use a gentle, natural products on your skin to sooth and hydrate. It is also advised to avoid direct sunlight, saunas, swimming pools and excessive sweating for 24-48 hours.
